Acronyms are great for donor reports, but for sharing the story of what you’re doing? Not the best. The United Nations Development Programme’s SWoCK project aims to help communities in the Solomon Islands strengthen themselves against the threat of rising sea levels, changing global temperatures, and threats of natural disasters, and they asked us to transform acronyms and buzzwords into something anyone could understand.
Lara travelled around the Solomon Islands with the SWoCK team and made five documentaries between 12 and 20 minutes in length, one three-minute teaser subsequently used by the United Nations’ General Assembly, and ourselves very tired in the process.
Show the impact and human face of the United Nations Development Programme’s SWoCK project in the Solomon Islands.
